Welcome to Acre Fare, our 1 acre smallholding near Langholm, in Dumfries and Galloway. I’m Bev, and I manage the plot – growing as much of our food on site as I can, mainly from seed.

I have a small flock of Welsummer and Cream Legbar hens, for a constant supply of fresh, free range eggs from happy, healthy ladies.
I make a wide range of jams, jellies and chutneys, using all my own produce – several products have been award winning at a couple of local shows!
I propagate pots of herbs for sale and grow tomato, chilli, courgette and other veg plants for sale too.
I also have Oxford Sandy and Black pigs, which provide us with all our pork products – bacon, sausages, burgers, joints – everything! I’ve recently started making my own chorizo and salami, a bit of an experiment, but so far it’s been fantastic!
